About Me

My interest in interior design started as a little girl playing house in the basement using whatever discarded items my mother would let me have. I moved up a notch when my Grandparents let us create a Cousin’s Club in an old milk house. That project was really exciting. We had four walls, a door and even a window! (My cousins and I learned very quickly that you shouldn’t build a fire without a chimney and cow corn doesn’t pop in a pan of water!) My passion for historic preservation and restoration was ignited after a visit to an old house museum on a family vacation. I loved every inch and artifact in that old house and had no trouble imagining myself living there.

Today I get to help people design beautiful homes. I get to renovate and restore historic places, museums and houses. And I live in a 1890s farm house filled with antiques and love. Talk about living the dream!

Great story. Every designer has a special story about how they started in design. Thanks for sharing.
